I've been guilty of tucking into a nice glass or two of Garnatxa Scala Dei
Super versatile summertime red wine. Fresh, fruity and supple deliciousness that will rock out with salmon, pork, poultry or even game. Grill, bbq or fry ‘em, no matter how you cook it, this garnatxa can handle it. Love it!
An excitingly different Chardonnay from the south of France. Made without the use of oak, this wine gets its character by careful handling in the vineyard (night harvesting stops the grapes being too hot when picked for instance) and then by allowing the wine to remain in contact with its lees for up to three months. A fresh, crisp Chardonnay with a lovely textural note. A blessing with simply prepared fish and shellfish.
Apéritif or ideal with fish it's Quinta da Lixa Vinho Verde for me!
It's crisp, it's fresh and it has a lovely little tingle about it! Ideal on it's own, at only 10.5% it's ideal for sunny days! I've enjoyed with some great home made spaghetti Vongole (clams) and a lovely fillet of turbot! Yummmmm.
